Okayama Research Park
TOkayama Research Park
Industrial Technology Center for Okayama Prefecture
Providing proactive support to the creative initiatives of prefectural located businesses as a core technology support organisation for local industries. As well as engaging in pioneer technological development within the field of mining and manufacturing, and collaborative research between industry, academia, and government, technical support in line with business needs, as well as research and experimentation, is also carried out.
Techno Support Okayama
The core facility of the Okayama Research Park, a research complex for facilitating the upgrading and value adding of industries in Okayama Prefecture. The building has such support organisations as the Okayama Prefecture Industrial Promotion Foundation, and the Okayama Institute of Invention and Innovation, and supports the enhancement of regional industrial technology by providing, to both researchers and engineers, a place for both human resource development and information provision that exceeds the boundaries of industry type and field.
Okayama University Collaborative Research Center
As a core technological organisation, the Center collaborates with the Industrial Technology Center for Okayama Prefecture and Techno Support Okayama to promote the application of the research functions and accumulated research outcomes of Okayama University, and implement such initiatives as collaborative and funded research, seminars on leading-edge technology, and technological information provision.
Okayama Research Park Incubation Center
Through collaboration with such organisations as the Industrial Technology Center for Okayama Prefecture and the Okayama Prefecture Industrial Promotion Foundation, new technologies and products are developed in the fields of IT and manufacturing, and startup and new initiative support is provided for ventures engaged in commercialisation.
Research Institute for Biological Sciences, Okayama Prefectural Technology Center for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries
With a focus on gene recombination, the institute is advancing the species development of new crops and microorganisms that carry a high utilisation value in the industrial fields of agriculture, manufacturing, and environment. Along with cutting-edge instruments and proactively promoting collaborative research between the private sector and universities, the institute also aims to establish an open research laboratory environment through such practices as making facilities and instruments available to other research bodies.
Okayama Ceramics Center
A research center that focuses on refractory materials. The center is involved in various projects including promoting the collaboration of industry, academia, and government regarding refractory material related industries as one of the representative local industries of Okayama Prefecture, high temperature material research and development, domestic and overseas technology exchange, human resource development, and information provision.
